Operating Limitations |
The
1000 m3 Unitor bag is a large bladder which requires large
support vessels to tow the bladder. The unit is also restricted to
the type of aircraft that can transport the unit to an airfield near a
spill response. (C-130 or Boeing Vertol helicopter or equivalent).
This unit is too large to fit onto an Alaska Airlines flight as
freight. |
Function
The
Unitor Oil Bag is a compact, collapsible, towable, temporary storage container
designed for rapid response. The 1000 m3 Unitor bag is large in
size and weight and must be transported and must be transported by
aircraft(C-130 or large Boeing Vertol helicopter or equivalent) for distance
spill responses. Once the bag is on scene, the unit can be deployed from
the deck of a vessel, dock or barge.
